Polruan Town Trust should not be seen as a primary source of grant aid and organisations should be encouraged to consider alternative sources of funding before approaching Polruan Town Trust.

These could include approaches to specific grant awarding bodies, the National Lottery, or local fund raising activities.

However, if alternative funding is not available and if it is possible to demonstrate that the local community will benefit from a particular initiative / project, Polruan Town Trust may contribute funds.

Polruan Town Trusts’ own funds come from the letting of Trust Assets and therefore it is essential that all applications for grant funding are carefully reviewed to ensure that grant money is used to the maximum benefit of all concerned.
